Seasonality: what makes housing uncertain
The spa season peaks from spring to autumn and some of the jobs are seasonal. Accommodation from an employer is usually tied to the employment contract — when the season ends or you change employer, the housing has to be sorted out too. The advance covers electricity, heating, hot and cold water, waste collection, building management and the connection to the television antenna. The flat is partly furnished — a kitchen unit with MORA appliances and a complete bathroom; for CZK 750 a month you can add a sofa bed and a wardrobe. The laundry room in the building is free, and internet from StarNet is arranged directly with the provider from CZK 299 a month.
An employer can rent the flat too
If a company needs accommodation for its people, it can rent a flat itself for its employee. The same terms apply as for tenants coming in off the street: a long-term rental, a maximum of two people in the flat, the same price. For the employer it means stable housing for key roles without having to run a hostel of its own.
